The Work of the
High Street Quarter

 The members of the High Street Quarter represent the area of Chippenham that is rich in both national and regional chain stores and is in the process of great change.

The Environment Agency is in the process of replacing the old weir which could lead to a change in the river camber.  This is perfectly synced with the arrival of new ownership of both Emery Gate and Borough Parade  with Acorn and Evolve investing in regeneration of those areas.

However, with the fragile state of high streets throughout the country, two banks due to close imminently and others possibly following, and many other variables in the coming months, active stewardship of this quarter is essential for the vitality and future of the town centre as a whole.
